GENERAL INFORMATION

Features involving ticket purchase:

  • Immediate departure: allows you to buy and travel with QR Code travel passes. Tickets are valid from the moment of purchase.
  • Badgéo on mobile: allows you to buy and travel with NFC travel passes.
  • Badgéo card: allows you to buy tickets and load them directly onto a Badgéo Solo or Multi card (yours or someone else’s). Tickets are available on the Badgéo card immediately after purchase. This feature also allows you to load TER add-ons onto your Badgéo card.

The CTS Transports Strasbourg mobile app is available:

  • on Android from version 7.0.
  • on iOS from version 15.1.

An internet connection is required to use all the app’s features.

Yes, you need mobile data to use all features of the app.

"Contactless ticket" is an extension to the CTS mobile app. It allows you to create a secure, dematerialised transport card on your smartphone to store all tickets purchased via the CTS mobile app.


Once the extension is installed, you can buy tickets whenever and wherever you like. Your smartphone becomes your travel card, and you can validate your tickets simply by placing your phone on the contactless validators, just like with your Badgéo card.

If your phone is lost or stolen and you have created a customer account, you can contact us via the contact form so we can block your account and prevent fraudulent use.

Once you have replaced your phone, you can retrieve your tickets by logging back into your CTS customer account.

Please remember to notify us first so that we can unblock your account.

At present, you must have sufficient battery and your screen must be on in order to validate "Badgéo on mobile" or "Immediate Departure" tickets on validators.


Your phone must also be switched on during inspections.

IMMEDIATE DEPARTURE

The “Immediate Departure” feature lets you buy up to seven tickets of the same type, in QR-code format, for immediate travel.

You can use them to travel alone or with several people at the same time.

Tickets are valid from the time of purchase.

Any CTS app user can buy an "Immediate Departure" ticket.


These tickets are particularly suited to occasional travel (single tickets only

The validity period depends on the type of ticket.


However, for all QR-code tickets purchased via "Immediate Departure", validity starts as soon as payment is completed - hence the name. QR-code tickets purchased with "Immediate Departure" must not be bought in advance for a later journey.

QR-code tickets purchased via the "Immediate Departure" feature in the app are activated immediately.


A countdown timer shows how much validity time remains on your ticket(s).

  • On board a bus: tickets must be validated on the front validator every time you board, so the driver can see that you hold a valid ticket.

Hold your phone UNDER the validator with the QR code visible on the screen. A beep and an "OK" message on the validator confirm that your ticket has been validated.

 

  • On trams and BHNS buses: validation is automatic. You do not need to scan the QR Code. However, you must be able to present the QR Code with an active countdown during an inspection.

BADGÉO ON MOBILE

Validation
Simply hold the back of your phone against the validators on board buses or at tram/BHNS platforms.

Your screen must be on and your phone unlocked.

Don’t forget to validate every time you transfer!

Inspection

During an inspection, hold the back of your smartphone, screen on, against the inspection device.

You can view your last validation on the "Badgéo on mobile" screen.

The "Badgéo on mobile" feature lets you hold a subscription or buy tickets directly on your smartphone.


It also allows you to benefit from specific fare plans (such as Solidarity Fares, free travel for 4-17 year olds or the TER add-on), depending on your profile, by creating a CTS customer account.

Yes. You can set up a direct-debit subscription directly from the CTS mobile app:

Yes. Just like with a physical Badgéo card, "Badgéo on mobile" allows you to open P+R barriers.

To do so, hold the back of your phone, screen on and unlocked, against the "Badgéo" sticker on the parking terminals.

Note: a P+R Rotonde subscription is required specifically to access P+R Rotonde. 

Yes, the TER add-on is available via "Badgéo on mobile".


You must hold a CTS subscription and have activated your entitlement via your personalised customer account, with proof of address.

No. The Pass Mobilité includes three inseparable services (CTS, Vélhop and Citiz) which must remain on the same medium.

You cannot transfer only the CTS component to the app. 

Yes. If you change phones:

  1. download the CTS app.
  2. log back into your customer account from the "Badgéo on mobile" screen by tapping "Log in".

Your secure ticket wallet is stored on your customer account, not on your phone.
Important: if you chose to use the app as an anonymous user, you will only have access to "Immediate Departure" and travel information. To use "Badgéo on mobile", you must create or log into a customer account.
